Sudanese-Australian Muslim activist Yassmin Abdel-Magied was detained and deported when she tried to enter the US on Wednesday. Abdel-Magied, who was travelling to the US to speak at the Pen America World Voices Festival, was denied entry in Minneapolis, Minnesota by US Customs and Border Protection officials.
