Your personal computer is definitely home to information you don’t want in the hands of others. It just definitely is. It’s probably filled to the brim with bank records, credit card details, pictures of your first cat that you turned into memes, and thousands of other unmentionables. (Unless you’re a dog person, then please swap for puppy memes.)
If you want these things to remain private in 2018, you absolutely need to take the extra precaution to encrypt your data the best you can. That is unless you want your embarrassing eighth-grade photos to get exposed to the world or your identity stolen (same difference). Read more…
