Earthquakes are already scary. If you’re a bird, then they’re extra terrifying.
This family of eagles was having a typical eagle day, with daddy eagle (known as A-40) watching protectively over his little eaglets, when a 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck near their island. The nest shakes and A-40 flies off the nest in momentary terror, before quickly returning to the nest to protect his children.
The little eaglets seem a bit confused, but otherwise unharmed. As the ground stops shaking, the eagles resume normal eagle activity.
