Janelle Monáe has been coy about her sexuality throughout her career, but before releasing her latest album Dirty Computer later this week, she has some rumors to clear up.
The singer and auteur sat down with Rolling Stone for an expansive interview about her life, her record label, and the music making process — and confirmed that all those hints about her sexuality in songs like “Mushrooms & Roses” and “Q.U.E.E.N.” were intentional.
