China’s GDP data comes in right on target, as it’s done for nearly three years

China’s latest GDP report card, somewhat predictably, has printed in line with market expectations. According to China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the economy grew by 6.8% in the March quarter compared to a year earlier, in line with economist forecasts and unchanged from the December quarter.
