A very distinctive-looking 30-year-old Holden Commodore has reached a new price record at auction. A 1988 VL Commodore Walkinshaw Group A SS sold at a Burns & Co auction on Sunday in Moama in rural New South Wales for a previously unheard-of $340,000. It was the most expensive item of the auction, surpassing 50 other cars that were sold that day, including a 1970 GTS Monaro, a 1969 Corvette Stingray 427 Coupe and a 1973 Cadillac DeVille Sedan, all of which are highly coveted cars.
