US, UK, and French air and naval assets fired over 100 cruise missiles at three Syrian targets during a massive strike operation on Friday. Two new weapons were used for the first time during the operation – the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile-Extended Range, known as JASSM-ER, and the Virginia-class nuclear attack submarine.
