Huawei’s P20 Pro made a pretty big splash when it launched in late March. The phone has three rear cameras — including one with a 40-megapixel sensor and another with a 3x optical zoom — as well as a 24-megapixel selfie camera on the other side.
Now iFixit, a company known for its thorough dismantlings of gadgets, has taken apart the P20 Pro, revealing a few more details about the phone and its powerful camera system.
This is what the P20 Pro’s trio of rear cameras looks like when removed from the phone: On the left is the 20-megapixel monochrome camera, with a f/1.6 aperture. In the middle, there’s the 40-megapixel RGB camera, with a f/1.8 aperture. And on the right, we have the 8-megapixel, 3x zoom telephoto camera, with a f/2.4 aperture. Read more…
