Uber has raised $1 billion for its self-driving unit, which is now valued at more than $7 billion

Toyota, Softbank, and Denso corporation are investing $US1 billion in Uber’s self-driving car unit, the company said Thursday. The round values Uber’s Advanced Technologies Group at $US7.25 billion, confirming earlier reports it was looking to raise more capital.
